Routines

For four academic years, a group of teachers came together in the El Punto Rojo Collective with the aim of improving arts education in secondary and high school education. The project that took up most of our time was a collaboration with the Education Department of the Patio Herreriano Museum of Contemporary Spanish Art in Valladolid. This involved curating exhibitions for the museum, which we then used as a textbook by turning the rooms into our classrooms. However, these exhibitions had to be indistinguishable from those organised by the museum itself.

In the 2012–13 academic year, our third year of work, we organised the exhibition El Cuerpo Significante (The Signifying Body). Alongside works by renowned artists from the museum's collection, we exhibited four video pieces created by members of our collective. Here you can see my piece, 'Rutinas' (Routines).
