Tu presencia y tu ausencia sombra son una de otra, sombras me dan y quitan
Your presence and your absence is one of the other shadows, shadows that give me and removed
Omens. 1923
Pedro Salinas
The life of a person can be traced by following what we lose. From our very birth, in which we lose maternal amnion security to the end in which we lose our own existence.
Sometimes we suffer hardships arising along the way. And it may well happen that we pursue to lose deliberately.
These absences, whether occurred or sought, may be emotional, physical, psychological, of innocence, of time…
But for all of them there is always an impression, a sediment, the trace of the presence of that absence.
Let us not invent its waters. Nor let us try to guess clumsily its delicious channels, its hidden backwaters. There is no point in becoming familiar with it. Let us return her to her ancient and true presence. Let us venerate it with the prayers of ancient times and its blind paths, where silence develops its liquid species, will be known again. The great birds will once again make their presence known above our heads and their fleeting shadows will softly extinguish our eyes. Naked the face, the skin tightened to the elemental bones that held the features, the confidence in death will return to brighten our days.
